To improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities who live in the greater Baltimore area. WorkFirst, Inc. is committed to: integrating individuals into the private employment sector; developing support service programs for individuals and their families; providing services that will be utilized by individuals to achieve personal and social goals.
WorkFirst provides individualized services based on consumer needs and interests. Services include assisting individuals with developing and enhancing job retention skills, appropriate work behaviors and skills, janitorial skills training, a training center in which individuals prepare for competitive employment, job development, on the job training, and ongoing support services. Job counseling, assistive technology and referral sources are an integral part of the employment services program. Through ongoing contact, consumers and family members are primary participants in the individualized planning process.
