Mission

Rosewood Center is a State residential Center that supports adults with mental retardation from the central Maryland region.


Vision

Rosewood will provide comprehensive supports to Maryland citizens with developmental disabilities and their families in a setting that is supportive of community integration. Community inclusion will be enhanced through opportunities for exposure and experience in the community at large.


Unique And Distinctive Qualities

The Rosewood Center is an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) for individuals with mental retardation. The Center operates within the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) of the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The campus is located in Owings Mills, Maryland. Rosewood is licensed to serve 257 individuals. The Center's mandate is to provide direct support to individuals with mental retardation while working to integrate these individuals into less restrictive settings in the community. Services at the Center include around the clock residential care and support. The Center is required to maintain Federal certification as an ICF/MR and to comply with all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
