Community Hospices' mission is to provide quality healthcare and end of life services with compassion and innovation to foster dignity and independence in those Community Hospices serve.

Guidelines are set by the Federal Guidelines and the State of Maryland which must be met. Each hospice must abide by these regulations in order to be a hospice program.

Steps Individuals Must Take to Apply for Services:
- Family or patient requesting to receive comfort care/hospice
- Have their physician certify that the patient is terminally ill (best judgement 6 months or less to live)
- Meet hospice appropriate guidelines clinically set fourth by Centers for Medicare CMS)
- Have/meet payment options i.e. insurance. See funding source
