Community Services Team

The Community Services Team coordinates the delivery of services and the use of resources for people with developmental disabilities who are eligible for DDA funded services. The team provides consultation and problem solving to ensure that people with developmental disabilities live lives of their own choosing.

The Community Services Team also coordinates the delivery of eligibility services. This involves taking applications from individuals who are interested in applying for services through DDA. Eligibility determinations are made based on criteria found in the Annotated Code of Maryland (COMAR) 10.22.18. These regulations delineate the eligibility and access determination process.

Quality Services Team

The Quality Services Team is responsible for assisting DDA-licensed, community based providers in the delivery of quality services to people with developmental disabilities who live and work in our neighborhoods. The Regional Psychologist, Nurse, training Coordinator and Quality Services Team members provide technical assistance, training and support to community providers.

The Fiscal And Support Services Team

The Fiscal and Support Services Team is responsible for the business operations of the Southern Maryland Regional Office.

Fiscal Team

The Fiscal Team processes budgets through contracts and rate-based systems so that people with developmental disabilities get the services that they have been approved to receive from our licensed providers. This team develops and maintains various databases that are used for record keeping, planning and data analysis purposes, and works with providers to resolve payment issues.

Data Team

The Data Team is responsible for maintaining accurate information about each person with a developmental disability who receives services in the Southern Maryland Region. In addition, the team is responsible for the office's computer hardware and software as well as the Administration's Provider Consumer Information Systems (PCIS2).
